℘Ɩąყɠཞơųŋɖ larp test: The Weather Report by Jana Romanova
Sign up for our second playground session at .zip, a testbed for LARPs and other collective worldbuilding and storytelling games. This time around we invite artist Jana Romanova, who will be playtesting a LARP on family dynamics and communication issues. Save your spot by shooting us an email at hello@zipspace.nl, since there are very limited spots available. The Weather Report is a larp playtest about finding a connection with meaningful people when your images of the world and ideologies are completely different. Is there still love when the only thing you can safely discuss without crossing the boundary of a heated argument is talking about the Weather? Maybe food as well, but this is already a slippery road. This is an abstract scene-based larp that explores some sitcom tropes of awkward family dinners and exaggerated misunderstandings, with the main mechanic of talking only about the weather when trying to talk about what’s important.
