Horror Video Game Night 2

Back by popular demand! Want to play horror games, but too scared to play them on your own? Join us on the 21st to play together!

On the big screen, we will play either (we’ll vote on the night itself):

︎︎︎ Observation (mystery horror, no jumpscares)
Observation is a sci-fi thriller uncovering what happened to Dr. Emma Fisher, and the crew of her mission, through the lens of the station’s artificial intelligence S.A.M. Players assume the role of S.A.M. by operating the station’s control systems, cameras, and tools to assist Emma in discovering what is happening to the station, the vanished crew, and S.A.M. himself.
You’re not on the station, you are the station.

Blending narrative adventure, puzzles, exploration, and cosmic existential horror, uncover the true nature of yourself, your crew, and the mysterious always-present hexagon on Saturn…

︎︎︎ IMMORTALITY (mystery horror, no jumpscares)

Match cut your own path through the footage and solve the mystery: What happened to Marissa Marcel?

IMMORTALITY is an interactive trilogy from Sam Barlow, creator of Her Story. Use the cinematic ability to teleport from scene to scene to explore a treasure trove of newly unearthed footage from the three lost films of Marissa Marcel and traverse decades of movie history

︎︎︎ Content Warning (co-op, jumpscares, funny)
Get famous or die trying! Content Warning is a co-op horror game where you film spooky stuff with your friends to try and go viral.

Squad up and use the diving bell to go down to the Old World! Down there you’ll encounter scary physics-animated monsters, cursed relics and other artefacts! Film as many scary things as possible before you run out of oxygen, camera battery or friends… If you survive, you need to get back in the diving bell to transport you and the remaining members of your team to the surface. Upload your chaotic footage to SpöökTube, settle in for a watch party, and wait for the views to tick up!

︎︎︎ About this event
Media artist Roos Groothuizen is currently researching smart doorbells, responsible tech, trust & horror. These “surveillance cameras” are quietly taking the country by storm. Viral videos of cute children, pets and delivery drivers are flooding the web. Does this mean we can finally trust the surveillance camera as our friend?

This event focuses on horror games using surveillance cameras as game mechanics.

This event is made possible with the financial support of CBK Rotterdam and Stimuleringsfonds.
