prikbord dinner & collective code of conduct writing

Dear prikker community,

We’d like to invite you for a prikbord dinner at .zip on Wednesday the 28th of October, to meet up and talk about our community guidelines. After dinner, we’ll sketch out a code of conduct. It will form the basis for a document we will use to communicate our expectations to venues joining the project. Members of the newly forming prikbord Utrecht will join us too!

What is prikbord.page?

prikbord.page is a collective calendar for underground venues and creative spaces. Workshops, exhibitions, repair cafes, small concerts… anything organized in the city that doesn’t necessarily have a “city-wide appeal” can be found here.

This online calendar was built as an alternative to social media platforms. We aim to provide event info that’s accessible to everyone, without content algorithms or requiring an account. The same applies to your venue: publishing your event shouldn’t be stressful, and no one but you gets to decide whether it deserves to be seen or not.

prikbord.page was built by people who run these kinds of cultural spaces. This site is never truly finished, and our source code is open-source. In collaboration with all venues and readers, we’re working toward an online channel that works for everyone.
